Well, it's afternoon and Oliver has made a pretty good attempt at keeping up with his crazy persona. I walked in the kitchen to find him toothing through the lid of a yogurt looking much like a snake being milked for venom.
I decided to give Oliver a bath to wash off yesterdays 'yogurt in the hair' episode (yeah, you heard me... I let him go to bed with lots of yogurt in his hair). Bella and Ollie were having a great time in the bath. I step out for a sec to get my phone and come back to find Bella and Ollie wildly laughing. The once clear water was now full of bubbles and every shampoo and soap bottle we had near the tub had now become fun, floaty bath toys. After putting a nice fresh diaper on my precious and clean two year old boy, I leave the room for just a sec to get his clothes. I then hear the front door open. I thought, "It's raining outside. He's not going to even leave the porch". I open the front door and am greeted by a mud covered boy. That's fast work, even for him! He must have been rolling around like a little piggy to get that perfectly muddy affect! Bella had collected a cup of rain water and was ready to splash him with it. He grabbed the cup and beat her to it. Unfortunately, it didn't really get much of the mud off. I had to get the wipes out and give him an aggressive wipe down.
While making lunch, I found a solitary cracker with a perfect little punk baby bite mark. I was quite thankful that he did not like the taste of the cracker or I would have been dealing with a more extravagant mess. All in all, it was just one cracker bite and a few nuts dumped out on the counter. Of course, he did make up for the lack of mess in the kitchen by dumping a nice layer of Life cereal out on the couch in the living room.
